USO V2 Begleri Beads
The USO begleri beads were released back in 2018. As time went on, they proved to be a community favorite. Many have been begging for another USO invasion, and now that time has come. Introducing the USO V2. Each bead is comprised of two pieces: the dome (spherical piece) and the saucer (bottom bowl-like piece). Unlike other stacked bead designs, the USOs utilize an integrated ball-and-cup system where the dome sits perfectly in the cup machined into the saucer piece. This results in the stacked beads feeling as if they are one solid bead rather than two separate parts. It's like the best of both worlds! Both pieces are machine from 6AL-4V titanium making them both durable and light weight. These beads have been redesigned with a 3.5mm bore which allows for both 275 and 550 paracord compatibility. If you choose to use thinner cords, you do get the extra benefit of giving your beads a satisfying fidget factor. Just note that using thinner cords will not keep the beads together like the 550 does. Each bead stack stands at about 13mm tall and 16mm wide. They are a shorter bead, so tying a tall knot such as a Celtic knot is recommended (unless you like shorter beads. In that case, you do you). Because these beads are modular, expect additional accessories to be released to compliment your set in the future. But for now, let's stick with the basics. Each set comes with 550 paracord, stickers, a carrying pouch.
*SPECIFICATIONS:*
-Material: 6AL-4V Titanium
-Size: ~13mm height/~16mm wide
-Weight: ~7.5 grams per side
-Cord Compatibility: 275 & 550 paracord (3.5mm bore)
PLEASE NOTE:
Just like anything in life, nothing is perfect. This fact of life also applies to the USO beads. Some beads may have minor blemishes or abnormalities even after hand finishing. Keep in mind, begleri beads are designed to be smacked against one another during play, so once you start slinging them, they're going to get dinged, dropped, smacked, and battle worn anyway. So don't fret if a bead has a tiny scratch or two; there will be plenty more where that came from!
